THE LODGE
Exciting times!!!
This summer we had our
doors closed to fishermen to
begin our lodge addition
project. When the lodge
addition was designed, the idea was to offer luxury and solitude in the heart of one of the most beautiful regions of Alaska. As you can tell from the pictures, we accomplished a good portion of the addition project this summer and will be continuing the work this next spring so our fishermen will be able to enjoy the new facilities and all it can offer. We will reopen our doors to a week of fishermen during a prime fishing date in July 2008, and are scheduled to fully open again for June and July 2009. The lodge is located within the famous Lake Clark and Katmai National Park sportfishing region, only minutes away from boating and fly-out fishing opportunities. Prime fishing for salmon, char, grayling, northern pike, and trout are all available. In addition to the lodge project, we have also extended the dock and added two new boats which
provide a great and comfortable ride
while on the lake fishing or
sightseeing. The new remodel and
addition, creating a new total of
10,000 square feet, to Stonewood
Lodge will be the perfect place to
host corporate or family groups
-whether fishing, hunting, or
enjoying this beautiful part of
Alaska during a business retreat. We have some prime dates available to book the lodge for 2009. Please call for further details on how we can provide your group with an incredible Alaskan adventure. The lodge also will serve as a great base for our photography trips we conduct in the region, allowing photographers and instructors ample room for slide shows, presentations, and discussions after a great day of photographing the scenery and wildlife. The remodel includes a large conference room, a number of private rooms for guests, a cozy library, fly tying table, a screened porch, a den, an open dining area, and a great room with a beautiful fireplace to sit around. The Lodge also features deluxe accommodations with in suite bathrooms and all rooms take advantage of the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Throughout the lodge, we’ve constructed authentic fireplaces, tiled and wood floors, and used other aesthetic materials to give the Lodge a classic and rustic feel. At the same time, Stonewood Lodge offers modern amenities not found in many places in remote Alaska such as in floor radiant heat, water heaters, ice machines, telephone, and constant electrical power. We’ve also added on a wrap around outside deck, offering the time to sit back and relax and
take in the sunshine and scenery. In
the area there are some great short
day hikes and we have equipment
at the lodge such as kayaks, canoes,
lawn games, and a sauna. The staff
at the lodge is committed to making
your stay with us unforgettable and
you’ll find our hospitality second
to none. We take care of the details
of your stay with us and we’re dedicated to the satisfaction of our guests. We look forward to many years ahead of wonderful and joyful memories created in and around Stonewood Lodge.
If you would like to join us for a fishing trip we will do our utmost to help create an adventure of a lifetime for you.
